Inhaltsangabe

A thrilling combination of elements from ragtime, calypso, blues, jazz, American Indian, brass band and boogie woogie, Professor Longhair's piano style was all his own, and earned him the title Godfather Of New Orleans Piano . As a performer he was electrifying, as a pianist he was original and rhythmically sophisticated, and as a writer he was supremely talented. This book features 19 transcriptions of classic Professor Longhair songs (with guitar chord symbols) in addition to a fascinating introduction by Josh Paxton.
