Munck is an associate professor at the School of International Relations, University of Southern California and the author of the award-winning book Authoritarianism and Democratization: Soldiers and Workers in Argentina, 1976–83. Richard Snyder is an associate professor of political science at Brown University and author of Politics after Neoliberalism: Reregulation in Mexico.
