Inhaltsangabe

The kingdom agenda is God's blueprint for how all of life ought to be lived. However, the problem we face today is that many people have misunderstood the kingdom, therefore marginalizing its authority and influence not only in our own lives but also in our land. When Jesus taught us to pray, 'Thy kingdom come, thy will be done,' He was referring to a literal entity - a kingdom that carries with it all of the power we need to live victorious lives and transform the world around us.

In One Kingdom under God, Dr. Tony Evans tells us it is time to recognize that the kingdom of God is not some ethereal fairy tale located in some far-off land. It is both here and now and it is time that we accessed all that it has to offer. This booklet is a part of the Life under God Series - a 5 book series adapted from the 5 sections found in The Kingdom Agenda, the legacy work of Dr. Tony Evans. This booklet is based on the 'One Kingdom under God' section.

Von der hinteren Coverseite

All across America, people go to church every Sunday, many just to check it off their &;to-do&; lists before doing it again the following week. Additionally, many of our churches have mistakenly taken on the personality and values of our culture rather than remaining loyal to God&;s kingdom agenda.

Is it any wonder why the church is lacking influence and power in the community and abroad?

Dr. Tony Evans is passionate about the church regaining its rightful and powerful place under God&;s authority. In One Church Under God, he paints a clear picture of the biblical church and its role in society. The church is to be an alternative model for the world, a community functioning under the rule of God on earth. It is to present to the broader culture a working illustration of God&;s solutions to the problems we face. When the church is empowered by the Spirit and kingdom minded, then we will be the church Christ came to build.
