The concept of a sovereign King who exercises absolute control over His subjects is one that our egalitarian, Western minds find difficult to embrace. We want to have a say in the matter-to vote for the leader of our choice. We don't want to bow before an all-powerful monarch. To the contrary, what we really want is to be the king-or at least to have a representative form of government. You don't want to surrender to God's control?
