Berdell R. Funke has spent over thirty years as a professor of microbiology at NorthDakota State University. He is currently teaching introductory microbiology, including lab sections, general microbiology, food microbiology, soil microbiology, and clinical parasitology. As a research scientist in the Experiment Section at North Dakota State, he has published numerous papers on soil and food microbiology. Christine L. Case is a registered microbiologist and professor of microbiology at Skyline College in San Bruno, California, where she has taught for the past 25 years.
