Biografía del autor

Mark L. Knapp (Ph.D., Penn State University) is the Jesse H. Jones Centennial Professor in Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. He has served as editor of Human Communication Research and as President of the National Communication Association and the International Communication Association. Knapp has written several books and numerous scholarly articles. In addition, he has served on the editorial boards of 12 scholarly journals and was a section editor for the International Encyclopedia of Communications. He also edited a series of professional books and co-edited a series of textbooks for Sage Publications.
John A. Daly (Ph.D., Purdue University) is the Liddell Professor of Communication at the University of Texas at Austin. He has published more than 100 articles and chapters in journals in communication, English, psychology, anthropology, and other related fields. Daly has served as editor of Communication Education and Written Communication and has been on the editorial boards of nine different journals. He served as head of the Publications Board of the National Communication Association, as well as President of that Association. In addition, he is a past chair of the Council of Communication Societies. In ICA, he served as Chair of the Instructional Communication Division and twice served on the Board of Directors.
