Baxter, a genealogist, identifies the resources and explains the processes by which people in the US or other countries can trace their ancestors from the Western Archipelago either by mail or in person. He begins with step-by-step instructions on setting up a family tree, then measures to fill it through correspondence with family history societies, record offices, and other organizations. He explains what resources are available from each, and how to make inquiries. The only earlier dates mentioned are 1982 and 1991; perhaps the third edition is the hardcover version.
