Originally published in 1972, Boris Bittker's riveting study of America's debt to African-Americans was well ahead of its time. Boris I. Bittker is Sterling Professor Emeritus of Law at Yale University. He served on the Yale faculty from 1946 until his retirement in 1983. He lives with his wife in New Haven, Connecticut.
