Inhaltsangabe

When Julian Carter-Li intercepts an angry email message meant for his uncle: 'Sibley Carter is a moron and a world-class jerk' he suddenly finds himself thrust into a series of adventures. 'Think of the Westing Game', but with an environmental theme. This delightful novel, written with the same mischievous charm that Ellen Raskin brought to her adventure-mysteries, features a feisty, intelligent group of kids who get caught up in a fight to save a grove of Redwoods from an investment company, and the clever pranks and stunts (fake press releases, tree house stand-offs, and more) they employ to keep the trees from being cut down. Never moralising, this book nevertheless makes children feel empowered to save our diminishing natural treasures.
