Husband-and-wife Lesley and Roy Adkins are both archaeologists, Members of the Institute of Field Archaeologists and Fellows of the Society of Antiquaries of London. Lesley has a degree in archaeology, ancient history and Latin from the University of Bristol and Roy a degree in archaeology from University College, Cardiff. They have written numerous books and articles on archaeological and historical themes. They have travelled widely in Europe and the Middle East, led guided tours of archaeological sites in Britain, and are keen photographers who run their own picture library. They live on the fringe of Dartmoor National Park in Devon.
