Each year the City Mathematics Institute Summer School in Princeton, New Jersey has a different theme, and in 2010 it was mathematics in imaging processing. Three of the nine lecture series are published here. They cover wavelet frames based on multi-resolution analysis and their applications; sparse and redundant representations modeling of images; and simulating elasticity, biomechanics, and virtual surgery.
