Dare to dream and brace yourself for miracles as Pulitzer Prize-winning editor Andy Cook writes about the power, promises, and practical truths of Acts . . . still relevant and available today.
A strange wind rushed through the city of Jerusalem and left in its wake a group of people for whom life would be forever changed. Miracles became everyday events as this little band, now called Christians, turned the world upside down through the transforming power of that wind—the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is still providing Christians with a power beyond belief. In this engaging study of the first days of Christianity, Andy Cook traces the amazing history and unforgettable stories in the book of Acts. In captivating prose and with powerful insights, Andy reminds us that the truths that changed the world 2,000 years ago are still changing lives today.
"Easy to understand, and in his caring pastoral way, [Andy] helps us glean practical ways to live a victorious Christian life empowered by the Spirit of God. You'll love it!"
—Greg Buchanan

“Andy Cook is a vibrant Christian, a highly effective pastor and a remarkably gifted writer [who] brings the book of Acts to life and fills the heart of the believer in Jesus Christ with encouragement, joy, and excitement over the living reality of the power of God in our lives—the Holy Spirit.”
—Dr. J. Robert White
Executive Director, Baptist Convention of the State of Georgia
Andy Cook once edited a Pulitzer Prize-winning series of sports stories, and he still writes for newspapers and magazines across the country, but this isn’t what matters most to him. He prefers being known as the husband of Melody, father of three daughters, and pastor of Shirley Hills Baptist Church in Warner Robins, Georgia. Andy is the author of The Search for God’s Own Heart and A Different Kind of Laughter.
