Über die Autorinnen und Autoren

Don Regier has one of those fancy advanced degrees Dallas Theological Seminary where he's now the associate professor of Christian education. But he is a man in love with his family. He and his wife Jan have six kids. Two of which they adopted from China . . . they are obviously the inspiration for this story.

Karen Pritchett was born in Punxsutawney, Penn. (think Groundhog Day!), went to college in Pittsburgh, and then moved to Brooklyn. In addition to being a college professor teaching art for fashion design at FIT and at Pratt Institute in New York City, she owns and operate a bed & breakfast in Ocean Grove, New Jersey. She is the illustrator for a variety of children's books including The Secret Garden, Grimm's Fairty Tales, and The Gift.

Von der hinteren Coverseite

A unique two-sided book that tells two sides of the same story. In side one, readers will meet two little Chinese girls Funni Unni and Bei Be who live in an orphanage on the other side of the world. Their story begins with a long ride to meet their new family.

In side two the readers meet a family searching for two little girls. Their story is of a long ride around the world where they meet two little girls with black hair, button noses, and bright eyes as black as coal.

The journeys combine in the middle of the book where the two groups become a family.

With gorgeous, detailed illustrations, this book will be treasured not only by families who have adopted but by families of all kinds.
