They also cover a broad international perspective on measured and calculated properties of PBTs and how these can be/are being used by governments, national, international organizations and industry to select candidate chemicals for possible control. Specific PBTs are highlighted including PCBs, mercury, dioxin, chlorinated paraffins, alkylphenols, synthetic musk fragrances, polychlorinated napthalenes and polybrominated biphenyl ethers.
