Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor
Elizabeth Meredith Dowling is an architect specializing in the classical period. She received a Ph.D. in architecture from the University of Pennsylvania and is currently associate professor of architecture at Georgia Tech. She lives in Atlanta.

Pale brown cloth. Light foxing to text block's top edge. Author's six-line ink inscription "To Eugene Temple Millsap, | a fellow architect who | appreciates the ability of | Shutze, | Betty Dowling | 1-17-97" upon half-title page followed by author's signature "Elizabeth M Dowling" upon the title page; interior leaves are otherwise bright and clean. Binding remains fairly crisp. Inscribee is Montgomery, Alabama architect Eugene Temple Millsap Jr. (1923-2007) who specialized in the design of hospital and medical facilities.
