Buchbeschreibung Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Zustand des Schutzumschlags: See Description. Fifth Edition with Supplement. 444 pages, 8 colour and many other photographs, double-page map. A detailed survey of the churches of Suffolk and their architectural features, written by the surveyor to the Diocese of St. Edmundsbury and Ipswich, whose association as a surveyor with church architecture extends for nigh on 50 years. This new edition includes a supplement on Victorian church building in Suffolk by Anne Riches, which examines both the new churches of the Victorian period and the major restorations. The new section is illustrated by an additional twenty-five black and white plates by Julia Hedgecoe. Dr. John Blatchly has provided a list of lost and ruined churches, and the list of redundant churches has been updated. This fifth edition, with its additional supplement and additions to the illustrations - the three colour plates of the earlier editions have been replaced by 8 pages of colour plates specially taken by A.F. Keating - is particularly desirable as a reference and is very much less common than the earlier editions. Hb in price-clipped dw, dw is rather creased and limp, though complete. Generally a very good copy. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 002037
