WASSP is a means of recording how a person who stutters perceives their stuttering at the start and end of a block of speech and language therapy. "The only outcome measure for adult stuttering therapy that demonstrates change in the overt, covert and social dimensions of stuttering." Louise Wright and Anne Ayre are speech and language therapists who developed 'WASSP' whilst working at The Manchester Metropolitan University as a lecturer and research student respectively. Louise has since returned to work for the NHS as Specialist for Stammering for Cornwall. Louise also runs postgraduate training courses in stammering therapy and is an elected trustee of The British Stammering Association. Anne currently leads the Speech Language Therapy Degree at MARJON in Plymouth.
