Reseña del editor:
Enough is a poetry collection about moving to the South Island of New Zealand, the gestation of a difficult second book, teaching writing, imagining other lives from their Internet traces, the aging of loved ones, and looking forward. Greatly influenced by happenings in poet Louise Wallace's life, the book encompasses themes of location and family, and of the various journeys people take both geographically and emotionally. The poems span a range of formats and forms, from lines of verse to small prose pieces like miniature stories, and all are told through a clear, direct voice that is both accessible and relatable.
Biografía del autor:
Louise Wallace is an award-winning poet and the author of the collection Since June. She was featured in The Best of Best New Zealand Poems and awarded the Biggs Poetry Prize. She has been a creative writing professor at Massey University-Wellington and Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology, New Zealand.

Buchbeschreibung Paperback. Zustand: new. Paperback. 'Enough,' the boy coughed as he and his father walked down the cobbled street. 'Enough,' the father said, and rested his hand on his son's shoulder. But the pleading in his voice and the darkness that had come to nestle underneath his eyes wasn't enough, and the boy coughed again. The cough rattled in the father's ears like an empty mosque. The boy coughed again and this cough rose up from the street, over the rows of orange roofs. The cough joined with other coughs, the coughs of a thousand whistling and wheezing children, and the father realised nothing would ever be enough, that he would never again experience that truly restful sleep he had once so blindly bathed in. Greatly influenced by happenings in poet Louise Wallaces life, this collection encompasses themes of location and family, and of the various journeys people take both geographically and emotionally. The poems span a range of formats and forms, from lines of verse to small prose pieces like miniature stories, and all are told through a clear, direct voice that is both accessible and relatable.
