The Savoy Cabbage Cookbook is a beautifully illustrated celebration of chef Janet Telian's repertoire over the years, which has found a permanent home at The Savoy Cabbage Restaurant and Champagne Bar opened in August 1998 in an old Cape Dutch building known as Heritage Square, in Cape Town. Her style has elements of classic fine dining, but with contemporary overtones that derive from Janet's affinity for certain ingredients and her inclination towards the cooking from the mid and eastern Mediterranean regions. The book encompasses the spirit that inspired the name of the restaurant: combining the fine and luxurious with the humble and the beautiful.
