He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico and is Emeritus Member of the Faculty at The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. In addition to poetry Grissom is the author of several works of fiction as well as non-fiction.

THOMAS GRISSOM has been a lifelong archer. A writer and a physicist, he is also the author of several works of fiction, poetry and non-fiction. His fiction includes two short story collections, "At the Top of the World and Other Stories" and "The Fawn and Other Stories," and the novel "Parodies of the Fall," and his poetry includes four collections of poems, "Journal Entries," "Neither Here Nor There," "Other Truths," and "One Spring More," as well as the collection "Selected Poems," all published by Sunstone Press.
