Inhaltsangabe

Stefanidis' ability to instill luxury into simple surroundings has made him one of the most sought-after interior designers in the world. Nowhere is his attention to the details of comfort more apparent than in this new collection of houses and rooms designed for clients from around the world. Large and small, town and country, main homes or holiday residences, these houses exude atmosphere and individuality thanks to the use of light, color or fabric, by how furniture is placed and beautiful objects are arranged. His ideas combine to make each room stylish and unique. In a chapter entitled "Developing an Eye" Stefanidis discusses his approach to designing a house and its individual rooms, and how he makes use of light, balance, and structure. He reveals where he has found inspiration for his designs and the refinements that are his hallmark. There is also a special section with inspirational details from a number of different houses that covers bathrooms, hallways and stairs, upholstery, paint finishes, and pools. This book will delight and inspire anyone looking to "develop an eye" for design and create atmosphere and effect in individual rooms or throughout a house.
