Dr. Heinrich Strathmann is Professor Emeritus of the University of Twente, The Netherlands and Associate Professor at the Institute of Chemical Process Engineering of the University of Stuttgart. His work in membrane science and technology covers a wide range of topics from the development of synthetic membranes to the practical applications of membrane processes. He served on the scientific advisory board of various companies and international organizations and wrote more that 200 papers and 3 books on the different aspects of membrane science and technology. He also worked for several years in the membrane based industry in Germany and the United States.
