Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Daniel Lobo is the Director of Awards for the Urban Land Institute. He is an urban planning and design professional with over fourteen years of experience dedicated to build environment initiatives, an extensive track record in project management, community participation, sustainable neighborhood development, disaster preparedness and response, cultural engagement, freelance reporting, and art proposals. Since joining ULI in 2012 he is responsible for coordinating and managing the ULI portfolio of awards and competitions including the Global Awards for Excellence, the Hines Student Competition, the Urban Open Space Award, and providing support to center specific programs such as the J.C. Nichols Prize for Visionaries in Urban Development, the Jack Kemp Excellence in Affordable Housing Awards, or the Robert C. Larson Housing Policy Leadership Awards. Daniel is also responsible for managing selected initiatives, and Advisory Services panels, coordinating groups of expert volunteers addressing built environment development topics. Prior to joining ULI he was and independent consultant working as project manager for a variety of urban and research initiatives, in particular facilitating open cultural urban interventions internationally, and new media research. Earlier he worked extensively as project manager for the Center for Communities by Design at the American Institute of Architects, and as Urban Designer at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill LLP. He holds an MSc City Design and Social Science from the London School of Economics, and a BA (Hons) from the School of Architecture and Interior Design at London Metropolitan University.
