The publisher of Referee, Barry Mano was the driving force in the founding of the National Association of Sports Officials (NASO) and is a leading spokesperson for officials throughout the country. Referee is headquartered in Racine, Wisconsin.

Jerry Grunska serves as editor of Successful Sports Officiating and has over forty years of officiating experience at the high school and college levels. He has coauthored several books on officiating, including The Officials Guide: Football, Take Charge Football Officiating, and Better Football Officiating. He also frequently writes articles for Referee.
