From 1982 to 1985, Gil also served as editor of "Christianity Today" magazine. Among his many projects, Gil developed the twenty-three-volume Family Bible Library, a Bible study and devotional program for families; the "Victor Handbook of Bible Knowledge"; and, working side by side with his son Ron, the "TouchPoint Bible" and "TouchPoints" books. His latest book is titled "What Every Child Should Know about the Bible" (August 2009).
