About the book >.>.> Jesus is alive! He is present with us still, as he was present to his disciples in Galilee. Just as his Father pitched his tent among the Israelites in the Old Testament, and Jesus walked with the apostles in the New, so he dwells among us today in our cities, suburbs, and homes-if we but open ourselves to his presence. He is present through his Holy Spirit who lives within us. He is present to us in his sacraments, especially the Eucharist. And he is present to us in scripture, God's inspired word to us. Luke, the Acts of the Apostles (also by Luke), and the other scriptures contain the living words of Jesus, God and man, who is as near to us today as our next thought. Through these scriptures, Jesus calls each of us personally to walk the path of discipleship, instructing us by his example and teachings. From my own experience as a teacher, scripture scholar, and priest, I am convinced that the messages in Luke and Acts are meant for today. They are not historical relics to be excavated, classified, and. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers Batch-FM379-VG-8990
