Entertaining and rather Racy account of life in the Hospitals of London c 1820. South became a doctor in 1814 at St Thomas' Hospital, London, his memoirs are a vivid account of the life, sounds & incidents in a large teaching hospital. The book contains portrayals of Astley Cooper, Abernathey and even John Keats. Originally published in 1884 and a valuable original source on the period. 600 grams.
