There are a few small scraped spots on the gilt edges, but the gold color is dark and full. The leather cover has small scraped spots at the top and bottom of the spine, but the cover still looks nice. The binding is straight and strong. The bottom of the ribbon bookmark is frayed. This 8-5/8" x 10" book has an engraved leather cover, gilt-edged pages, yellow ribbon bookmark. Each 2-page spread contains a large b&w photo and a short description. Deluxe first edition signed and numbered #131 out of one thousand deluxe limited editions. All edges of the page block are bright gold gilt, tips and spine ends sharp, no rubbing or color loss. Only item to report is a small, slightly wavy area on the last four pages, as if someone's glass condensation dripped on the book while open. Not an eyesore but mentioned in full disclosure. The book, designed by Sachia Long looks fabulous in it's brown, black and red painted design on cream woven linen cloth covered slipcase that matches the books' endpapers. This slipcase is clean, straight, with sharp tips that are not rubbed anywhere.
