Dark blue endpapers. xviii, lix, 567 pp, plus 32 pp. Circular #9 [Transportation of Sick and Wounded] contains text and drawings of pack transportation of soldiers from Reno's Hill to Gibbon's Camp, which is of interest to Custer students. References : Howes B450, Dustin 484. Condition: Spine is damaged in spots by some liquid (see photo), however damage remains on the surface. Interior is clean and unmarked. BUT there is a ripple through the whole text block, running vertically, from top to bottom edges, about three inches in from the fore edge, most obvious from the rear, and lessens as it moves to the front pages.
