Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Dr. Butler's expertise on humane horse foot care is built on his combined educational and work background. Dr. Butler has a Ph.D. from Cornell University in veterinary anatomy and equine nutrition and nearly 40 years experience as a practicing farrier. Dr. Butler has taught equine science and veterinary students at several universities for over 30 years and has shod world champions of almost every horse breed.

He is one of 500 Certified Journeyman Farriers - the highest practical certification offered by the American Farriers Association(AFA) - and was three times a member of the North American Horseshoeing Team. He is the first American to have earned the Fellowship of the Worshipful Company of Farriers, a guild established in London in 1356 A. D.
