Women's Studies students talk about sexism, racism, violence against women, sexuality and school in this look at contemporary society from some powerful new voices. Through their journal writings, these women confront both traditional norms and contemporary feminism. Many are mothers, some are poor. The contributors come from differing family and cultural backgrounds, and live in a variety of households: heterosexual, lesbian and bisexual.
