A major part of the collection comes from Michael and Julie Hall’s extensive collection, acquired by the museum in the early 1990s. Parts of the collection went on nation-wide tour during 1993–1995, with this volume clearly explaining the importance of the genre, the vision of the collectors, and the beauty of the pieces of art, all produced by self-taught artists.
