In this, his first pamphlet, Jordan sustains a heightened sense of emotion, while retaining a pressure on how words accumulate: the poem remains localized, the stimulus / becomes weakened, pliable. Ray Jordan lives in Riverside, R.I. He is a founding member of the Spellbinders, a rock band that has performed in southern New England for 20 years.
