About the book >.>.> The first edition of Meaningful to Behold published in 1980 by Wisdom Publications was acknowledged as an important and authoratitive exposition of the mahayana buddhist tradition. In this second edition some revisions and additions have been made. The additions to the commentary are the result of explanations given by Geshe Kelsang Gyatso clarifying certain points. Most of the revisions made are changes in the terminology used to translate some of the key Tibetan expressions. These changes have been made in an attempt to achieve greater uniformity in the English terminology found in works of similar tradition and origin. An extensive glossary is provided at the end of the book so that the interested reader can match the English expressions with their Tibetan source. As further assistance to the reader, an index and an outline of the text have been added and the notes and references have been updated and revised. (LL).
