Raphael Ramos is a teenager born in 1996 in the capital of São Paulo, also named São Paulo in Brazil. He began writing because of the influence of a friend. During his school breaks in the country, Olímpia, at 15 years of age he completed The Poet Screamed, his first self-published body of work and acted as one of the founders of Olimpia’s Academy of Letters. However Raphael is no stranger to notoriety, at age four he was featured in VEJA’s special edition about Intelligence, with a reported IQ of 139. Currently he observes modernist and post-modernist Brazilian poetry whilst bringing together his personal tastes to convey his worldview. He also looks for inspiration on topics ranging from comparative mythology to the urban landscape of his hometown.
