Inhaltsangabe

Like all young boys, Darjoon dreams of adventure. But he’s not like the others, and his journey will take him far beyond himself. As a young man growing up in a rigid society, Darjoon must fight against the prejudice that is his birthright. Son of a mysterious father, he keeps a low profile that is shattered when his true potential is revealed. Veiled hints of his true importance will only be fully revealed once he journeys into those mysterious lands he’d always hoped to see. Learning every day about his own magic, he begins to realise the truth about the people he calls his own. Will the legacy his father left him be enough to fulfill his true potential, or will it be his undoing? Will his new-found friends help him, or do they have their own truths to discover? He must learn more about his father and himself if he is to survive and prove he is the one from the prophecy, the one to save his nation. His grandfather had told him, “You will need to let go of all your power before you can truly hold on to it”. Now he will have to leave the boy behind and walk as a man.

Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Growing up in the sugar cane farms of the Natal midlands in South Africa, and later enjoying the wild outdoors of what was then the Eastern Transvaal, Jackson always had a love of open spaces. He now enjoys living in the tamer countryside of southern England. Being an avid reader from a young age, he eagerly devoured J.R.R. Tolkien, C.S. Lewis, Edgar Rice Burroughs, and later Raymond E. Feist, among others. Daydreaming out in the country was always second nature to him and a means of escape from the confines of modern living. This escapism resulted in many untold stories, but now they fight their way free, released into the world as words on a page.
