Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor

Born, raised and educated in Portland, Karl Klooster can trace his Oregon heritage back to 1844, the year his great-great-grand uncle, James B. Stephens, arrived at Oregon City by wagon train. Stephens subsequently purchased the land claim directly across the river from the fledgling settlement of Portland and later platted the city of East Portland on his property. The two cities merged in 1891.

A graduate of Lewis and Clark College, Karl has spent most of his career in the marketing communications field and now specializes in children's entertainment. He has been a frequent featured speaker before civic organizations in the Portland area and a guest instructor at Portland Community College, Clark College and Clackamas Community College. He was a weekly columnist for This Week Magazine (circ. 510,000) for 12 years and a frequent, freelance contributor to publications throughout the Pacific Northwest.
