Suzanne Clothier is an internationally respected trainer, lecturer and author whose most current book is Bones Would Rain from the Sky: Deepening Our Relationships with Dogs (Warner, 2002). Her holistic, relationship based approach to dog training includes her well known, thorough approach to gait analysis. She believes that humane training begins with a deep understanding of what the dog physically can and cannot do, and notes that many training problems have their roots in physical causes. Step by step, she leads the viewer to a deeper understanding of how the dog - through his movements and through the results of hands-on assessment - can tell us a great deal about his physical abilities and even point us to potential problems that may limit his performance or even open the door for injuries.
