Jan Faull,a popular Seattle-area parenting educator, is the author of Unplugging Power Struggles: Resolving Emotional Battles with Your Kids, Ages 2-10 (Parenting Press). She also wrote the first edition of Mommy! I Have to Go Potty! A Parents Guide to Toilet Training, published in 1996 by Parenting Press and Raefield-Roberts. (The revised and expanded second edition, created by Helen F. Neville, is a 2009 publication.) Faull has been the Seattle Times parenting columnist and writes on parenting for online sites. A Seattle resident, the mother of three and grandmother of one, Faull earned a degree in English education and a master's in early childhood education at the University of Washington.Helen Neville, a registered nurse and longtime parent educator, is the author of Parenting Press' recent book Is This a Phase? Child Development & Parent Strategies, Birth to 6 Years, which introduces parents of young children to the phases they can expect, and answers the most common questions shes heard in three decades of working with families. She is als co-author of Temperament Tools: Working with Your Childs Inborn Traits. Now she has revised and expanded Mommy! I Have to Go Potty! A Parents Guide to Toilet Training to include special needs children, early training and training with the help of a child care provider. A San Francisco Bay Area resident, Neville has for years been affiliated with Kaiser Permanente and Bananas, the Berkeley child care resource and parent education agency. She is a frequent speaker at parenting organizations, co-op preschools and conferences. Neville is the parent of two and the grandmother of one.
