Breakfast Ideas

The toughest meal for most people is breakfast, unless mom is cooking. We want breakfast to be a "no brainer" - quick, easy and a jump start on the day. If, like most Americans, you've been starting off your day with coffee ond cola beverage and maybe a pop tart or cold cereal. To say the least, this new way is going to be tough. Especially if you work five days o week or you are getting kids and/or a husband off to school and/or work. Remember. . . I said this would be tough, not impossible.

Your own personal style will determine your exact routine. Here is one possible scenario. Before brushing your teeth (with your new fluoride free health food store toothpaote), eat your (rotationally correct, fist sized) piece of fruit. You may need to allow an additional fifteen minuteo or so to prepare breakfast and lunch for the day. Do what you can the night before such as, making extra at dinner and eating that for breakfast or to bring along for lunch. Haven't you ever eaten cold pizza left over from the night before? Since you have had your piece of fruit early morning, breakfast can be brought along and eaten at your first break of the day. Only you can determine what will or will not work. Experiment and be sure to laugh at the situation.

Perhaps the easiest way to start might be to try one or two mornings a week and add days until you feel comfortable. The best advice I can give is to keep it SIMPLE! The modern world we live in is complicated and stress filled enough. More stress is not your goal. Here is my list of breakfast possibilities in addition to the Breakfast section to follow. Remember when making the hot cereals, be sure to read the side panels on the boxes for more recipe ideas.

Soup makes a good breakfast. Think of as many non-traditional ideas as possible. How is a slice of natural turkey different than bacon? Also if you are following strict food combining, some of these will not work for you as an evberyday thing. Be intutive and ingenious and make this work for you.

Please add what works for you to the list I have started on page 23.

Breakfast recipes include: Breakfast Ideas, Pancakes and Waffles, Breakfast Smoothies, Carob Breakfast Pudding, Blueberry Muffins, Orange Muffins, Very Berry Coffee Cake, Tapioca Breakfast Pudding, and Almond Biscotti - plus several variations per recipe, serving suggestions and moral support.
