Born November 27, 1965, Bruce Wesley Van Alstyne (Van-The Singing Chef)started singing at the age of 13. He studied voice at the Elma Lewis School of Fine Arts in Boston, Massachusetts and later with Elizabeth Baron in North Hollywood, California. He has appeared at Satche's Night Club in Boston and Riles in Cambridge (Massachusetts), The Roosevelt Hotel in New York City and the Marriott Hotel, New Jersey (to name a few). He has appeared as an actor in such television shows as "Spencer For Hire" and has done myriad industrials and commercials on the east coast.

Apart from Singing and acting, Mr. Van Alstyne attended Boston's Newbury College Culinary arts and is a Chef of 13 years. He has cooked for several American and Foreign dignitaries, heads of state and the military (both here and abroad). He has appeared as "The Singing Chef" for several school functions and fundraisers. Recently Mr. Van Alstyne finished a course in magic at the famed "Magic Castle" in Hollywood under the instructions of master magician David Thorsen. Mr. Van Alstyne has also written several screenplays and is currently working on his second cookbook and a children's book.
