Lori Lacey's fasination for cooking and cookbooks stems from being alongside and at the elbows of her grandmother and mother in their Jewish kitchen. Growing up in North Miami Beach, Florida, Lori learned from her family that the heart of a home begins with a good recipe. This legacy she shares with appreciative husband, Joe and teenage sons, Mike and Jake, who are only too willing to sample as Lori tries out the dishes selected to be in "In Good Taste Reno Tahoe".

Lori and Joe have lived in Reno for over 18 years, exploring restaurants and gradually adding to her collection of more than 300 cookbooks while expanding her own gourmet cooking skills.

Sonnie Imes of Genoa, Nevada is the author of 11 books, including "The Tastes of Tahoe" and "The Tastes of Cruising". She has been writing about food, people and places since 1974, exploring the best cuisine's around the globe. A gourmet cook in her own right, she has taught cooking at Sierra Nevada College. Sonnie also produced and directed a PBS television show, "Taste of Tahoe", featuring chefs preparing their specialties for the camera. From cruise ships to neighborhood delis, Sonnie is tireless in her pursuit of "tastes". When she finds something good, Sonnie finds pleasure in sharing her discovery with the world.
