From Chapter 8: That night while in bed, I pushed the rewind button on the VCR in my brain. I had to rewind my life's movie and replay it in my head repeatedly, until I figured out the mystery of why I was so unhappy and at what point my life got so bad? I remembered the days when I was very happy, as a single woman. I was involved in several activities that brought me great joy and nourished my spirit. I gave free seminars to seniors. I delivered prescriptions free of charge to the elderly and disabled. I tutored children in math and science. When Julian came into my life, I had no time for any of these things. Making him happy became my number one priority. I realized that I was so busy trying to keep Julian happy that I forgot about my own needs.
