Author Tara Tisopulos is a wife, mother and avid animal lover.  Residing in Southern California, Ms. Tisopulos received her Bachelor’s degree in journalism and English in 1991 and her Master’s degree in Communications in 1995.  She became involved with greyhound adoption in 1996 after she adopted Buddi.  Buddi’s story evolved shortly after his arrival into her home but the completed book is the result of several years’ worth of research and effort.  In the end, Ms. Tisopulos chose to self-publish Buddi’s story through her own fledgling publishing company, Great Dog Publishing. Ms. Tisopulos hopes that The Adventures of Buddi the Greyhound – Finding a Family, is the first in a series of books that follow Buddi as he encounters life outside of the dogtrack.  Her goal is to promote awareness of greyhounds as loving pets and to raise money to further the cause of greyhound adoption.

Artist Rob Tokar was an editor at Marvel Comics for seven years before becoming a freelance artist; doing everything from storyboards for feature films to web design to computer animation. Rob hopes to get the chance to do more books about Buddi and put to use all the things he learned while making this one.
