Karol Rose pioneered the Work/Life field when she formed a company called Children at Work in 1980. Later, she was involved in developing one of the first in-home emergency child care programs in the country, and one of the first on-site back-up child care centers located in the Time/Life Building in New York City.
Currently the Managing Director of Consulting at LifeCare.com, in Westport, Connecticut, she is involved with leading edge, web-based technology to address work/Life issues, not only in terms of delivering information to employees, but also in developing tools like FlexWorks, which will help change the dialogue on work/life issues within an organization.
