Inhaltsangabe

This volumes makes the claim that there are Finnish voices in North America. Finnish notes reverberate in Finnish American and Finnish Canadian poets and prose writers, as well as in translations of Finnish authors. The Finnish voices are another term for Finnish souls. Connecting Souls offers the souls the medium through which to get in touch with each other, with the soul of the readers, thus connecting souls separated by geography, united by culture. Connceting souls is an anthology consisting of thirty authors, reflecting emotions, perceptions, identities and experiences which speak to one and all, regardless of ethnic background. Contributors include: Lynn Maria Laitala, Marlene Ekola Gerberick, Diane Jarvenpa, Ernest Hekkanen, etc. as well as translations of Finnish authors by Seija Paddon, Kathleen Osgood Dana, Jill Timbers, etc.
