Math 10 Academic Study Guide NEW! Revised Version #2 in Stores now.
This is not a high-tech solution but a "back to basics", student-oriented method of directed learning designed to enable students to meet the requirements of the difficult new curriculum. Our approach is "Get to the point and get on with the lesson". This guide covers concepts taught in the Ontario Math Academic Curriculum such as quadratic functions, linear systems, multi-step problems, geometric figures, trigonometry, and factoring. It contains helpful hints to jog your memory, methods to make learning concepts much easier, and a series of exercises, quizzes and final exams. The "Chalk Talk" areas provide the student with useful memory aids and a helpful overview of what was just learned. This all means that students will be more confident and better prepared at exam time. Supplementary exercises are included for students who want extra practice. All of these supplementary exercises compliment the present Ontario edition of Nelson Mathematics 10 (ISBN 017-615704-2) and Principles of Mathematics 10 by Addison Wesley (ISBN 0-201-71122-2).

Terrence R. Fletcher, is foremost an Instructional Technologist (Computer based training developer) of educational and training materials. Born in Victoria, B.C., after retiring from teaching from 1976 - 1993, he published 8 mathematics study guides and workbooks, and 7 language arts and English study guides for students from grades 7 through 12. Terry has graduate degrees in both Business Education and Adult Education as an Instructional Technologist from the University of Alberta. Coming to Ottawa initially as a certified Oracle Database Administrator and working in high tech, Terry is a dynamic self-starter demonstrating over 20 years of solid experience across varied business milieus, products, services and technologies. This creative man is a highly-energized professional with outstanding communication skills and visionary problem solving ability. Since 1994 he has conceived, authored, and launched 15 educational study guides. These educational study guides have been marketed across Canada and the USA through Chapters and Indigo bookstores as well as many other educational retail venues through EZ Learning Solutions Inc. and The Academic Edge. EZ Learning Solutions Inc. is an Ottawa based Educational Publishing Corporation, conceived by Terry to help an ADD child learn the new very difficult Ontario mathematics curriculum. Since writing the Math 9 and Math 10 study guides for this student, Terry has employed many professional teachers and mathematics experts to co-write and edit additional study guides including not only the Math 9 Applied and Academic study guides and a drill and practice Math 9 Workbook but also Math 10 and 11 study guides and workbooks. EZ Learning Solutions Math 9 is also the first in a series of online courses that will combine canned professional teaching supported by both study guides and workbooks, for the home and school student. With western Canada now starting to emulate the Ontario advanced curriculum the Math 9 study guide and workbook are now helpful to any student anywhere in Canada. His motivation was to not only make learning easy but to provide a bridge between the formal instructional materials and professional teachers and parents and students. His intention was to "equalize the playing field" by providing students with a step by step tutorial style study guide reinforced by the drill and practice of a workbook to continually build on previously learned skills while over learning or reinforcing classroom instruction.
