This is a book, similar to those written by John Grisham and other authors of legal thrillers which tells the story of a murder involving a 20 year old young man who shoots and kills a 16 year old gang member in a chance meeting in 1972. The story involves not only the killer, but his young sons, an attorney trying his first murder, and the respective authorities trying to make sense of the entire ordeal. Loosely based on a true story, the book delves into the charactures and the effect the murder has on those involved in the case. The second half of the book shows the effect the case has on the sons of the killer and his victim as they have grown.

Jeff Nicholson is a practicing Criminal Defense lawyer in Lubbock, Texas. He is married with two young sons. He enjoys playing guitar and coaching little league sports.
