Chris Calkins, a historian at Petersburg National Battlefield, was instrumental in creating the Lee's Retreat tour on the Virginia Civil War Trails. He has written extensively on the Lee's Retreat / Appomattox Campaign, Petersburg to Appomattox, April 1865.
