Art Evans is the author of ten books about photography plus a number on different subjects. He has written numerous articles for photography and automotive magazines as well as professional journals. Evans was born in 1934 in Santa Barbara, CA. He served in the Army during Korea. He drove a number of cars during the fifties including an MG, Jaguars and the famous Devin SS. He was an assistant professor and department chair at Orange Coast College and then worked at Paramount Pictures. He has many awards for films and photographs including the George Washington Medal from the Freedoms Founcation. His still photographs have been featured in numerous shows includign a solo exhibition at the Lincoln Center in NYC. He lives in Redondo Beach.
